HARTFORD, Conn.— Proving they’re a “cut” above the rest, the International Institute of Cosmetology in Wethersfield is once again conducting a Valentine’s Day fundraiser for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The second annual “Cuts & Curls” fundraiser takes place from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Saturday, Feb. 12, at the International Institute of Cosmetology, 632 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. The International Institute of Cosmetology is owned and operated by the Gugliotti family who also own Gugliotti’s Hair Fashion salon in Hartford. Last year’s Cuts & Curls event raised $2050 for the medical center.
One hundred percent of all the proceeds raised from every haircut, style and manicure will be donated to Connecticut Children’s. Men, women and children are welcome and appointments can be made by calling (860) 571-0330, ext. 2. Walk-ins are also welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.
