Services | Social Skills
Members of our team of experts are also available to consult
to families, schools, and other agencies on an on-going
basis to assist in developing, implementing, and refining
multifaceted and comprehensive educational and behavioral
interventions. We provide school-based consultation and
training services for professional and paraprofessional
staff designed to meet the needs of schools and the students
that they serve. Such services are provided in the following
areas:
- Applied Behavior Analysis: This training is
aimed at developing a comprehensive program for students
who face the challenges associated with Autism Spectrum
Disorders including the use of Discrete Trial
Instruction.
- Attention Deficit Disorders: Assessment and
programming strategies that address the needs of
students with attentional difficulties.
- Functional Behavioral Analysis: A
comprehensive approach to analyzing the function of
maladaptive behaviors and replacing with more adaptive
behaviors.
Inclusion: Instructional and programming strategies for
students with special needs in the mainstream
environment.
- Traumatic Brain Injury: Instructional
strategies and program modifications to accommodate
students who are returning to school after suffering a
head injury.
Nonverbal Learning Disabilities & Asperger’s Syndrome:
Instructional methodologies and program development for
students who have significant social and language
pragmatic deficits and other difficulties.
- Severe and Challenging Behaviors: Assessment
and comprehensive intervention development using
non-aversive strategies to replace challenging
behaviors.
