Corporate Marketing Affiliations & Event Sponsorship
The Corporate and Foundation Relations department of Connecticut Children's has marketing professionals dedicated to working with companies in developing unique corporate sponsorships, corporate events and cause related activities.

According to recent studies by the Reputation Institute, corporate sponsorship has positive impact on:
  • the emotional appeal to the consumer
  • financial performance of the sponsoring company
  • the company's products and services
  • community perception of social responsibility
  • corporate vision and leadership
  • workplace environment
Corporate marketing affiliations and sponsorship at the Connecticut Children's takes many forms.

Event Sponsorship
Eighty-five percent of attendees at a recently sponsored event in Chicago could name one or more of the event's sponsors, according to a survey by the research firm McKeon and Assoc. When surveyed one month later, seventy percent could still recall a sponsor. Eighty-two percent attested they would be more likely to buy a product made by a company who sponsored an event they have attended. All good reasons to consider sponsorship of one of the Connecticut Children's' more than 40 annual special events.

Program Sponsorship
By sponsoring a Connecticut Children's program or research, companies communicate their commitment to a particular quality of life. Through program sponsorship, companies can also heighten company visibility and shape consumer attitudes. Most of all, companies contribute to the ongoing health and wellness of our most precious resource - our children.

Cause Marketing
According to a 1999 Cone Roper Cause Related Trends Report, sixty-five percent of US adults surveyed said they would likely switch retailers to support a product that was associated with a cause they cared about. Cause-related marketing is viewed positively over traditional advertising methods, because consumers view it as a form of advertising that gives something back. Promotional strategies that link a company's sales campaign directly to Connecticut Children's can drive sales, merchandise opportunities, showcase product attributes and differentiate product from competitors.
