July 17, 2008 - 4th Annual SSIMED Golf Event
- Charity golf tournament being held to benefit
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The event will
be held at Gillette Ridge Golf club in Bloomfield, CT.
Last year through the generosity of our sponsors and
golfers, we were able to raise $16,000 to help the
children at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Please take advantage of this opportunity to help a worthwhile
charity and gain some valuable exposure for your company.

Charity golf tournament being held to benefit Connecticut
Children’s Medical Center and the CCSU Baseball program. This
event is being held at Stanley Golf Course in New Britain, CT.
Our objective: To rekindle some old friendships and to start
some new ones while raising money for the CCSU baseball program
& The CT Children’s Medical Center. We sold out last year so
don’t get left out!! We had a great time last year & 100% of the
money raised is for CCSU baseball & CCMC!

event will feature a motorcycle ride and stunt show featuring
the riders of CT Stunt and XFR as well as live music, games,
activities and food.

July 21, 2008 – Lux Bond & Green Charity Golf Tournament
Please join LUX BOND & GREEN for their 18th annual charity golf tournament!
This event is being held at the beautiful TPC River Highlands in Cromwell,
CT, home of the Travelers Championship. It is a fun-filled day of golf and
camaraderie, but more important it is a day set aside by many to help support
children in need. Last year more than $25,000 was raised to benefit
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and we are truly grateful for being
selected as this year’s sole beneficiary.

event, with great contests, prizes and raffles. The tourney will
benefit Connecticut Children's Medical Center Adaptive Ski
Program. A shotgun noon start is planned and the day includes:

- August 28, 29 & 30, 2008 - 102.9 DRC-FM 6th Annual Children’s
Miracle Network Radiothon - This is a three-day event in which 102.9 DRC-FM
broadcasts live from the CCMC Cafeteria. During the broadcast, they will
highlight experiences of our patients through live interviews and taped segments
and encourage their listeners to call in and make donations. This takes place
as part of their regular broadcast schedule (between songs) each day from 6 a.m.
to 7 p.m. In 2007, the radiothon reached an all time fundraising record of

- September 29, 2008 - 6th Annual Geno Auriemma’s “Fore
the Kids” Charity Golf Tournament - Golf tournament hosted by
Head Coach Geno Auriemma. The tournament is held at the Hartford Golf
Club in West Hartford, CT and features a shamble format, followed by a
dinner reception catered by Outback Steakhouse and an auction emceed by
Geno. The event will support Connecticut Children’s Medical Center’s
Department of Orthopaedics, Sports Injury Prevention Program and
Department of Hematology/Oncology for services for bone cancer patients.

- November 1, 2008 - 16th Annual CCMC Auxiliary Storybook Gala -
The Storybook Gala is the signature formal dinner benefit for
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center being held at the Hartford Marriott
Downtown. This year's special guest is television and film star Ben Vereen.
As the signature formal benefit for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center,
the Storybook Gala is a special evening with dancing, live and silent auctions,
and featured children’s author Suzy Kline. With over 500 people expected
to be in attendance, the Gala is going to be an extraordinary celebration
of the vital mission of Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
Gifts to the event's spotlight program, through Bidz for Kids, will
support the costs of constructing a new $5 million clinical care center
at CCMC for children with cancer and allied blood diseases. This facility
will unite and expand clinical care services, research initiatives and
family support programs in one new state-of-the-art setting.
